Bristol Anarchist Bookfair 2009 is on Saturday 12 September at The Island, Bridewell St, Bristol BS1 2PY, from 10.30am to 6pm.

They continue to face the threat of part privatisation from New Labour and Lord Mandelson, despite the recent shelving of plans for the time being. But they will continue to be a key target as the cost of rescuing the banks crunches public spending, and the government seeks to balance the books by selling off yet more public assets. Callout – Anarchist Movement Conference 2009

Recent months have seen anarchists from across the country meeting to plan and organise an Anarchist Movement Conference for 2009. This will take place on 6 & 7 June at Queen Mary & Westfield College, in East London. So far there has been minimal interest in Bristol for the conference, perhaps because people have been busy?
