There will be hot/cold drinks, snacks & cake available from 11am at latest, and main meals from about 1pm, all at very affordable prices. There’ll be some comfy seating, soft toys, games, arts materials, facepainting, storytelling, tables etc, and space for kids to move around freely. It’ll run from 12noon-5.30pm and there’s a timetable of events for the day – see here.
Please note this is not a supervised creche, you will need to remain with your children.
There is also space for kids outside in the Garden – green space to play in & a small adventure playground (weather permitting!). Plus the Bookfair vegan cafe will do you kids portions if you ask!

accessible_entranceRespect, Equality, Accessibilityplease read our page on Respect & Equality: ‘As an Anarchist Bookfair we are opposed to all forms of discrimination & hierarchy, and intend the Bookfair to be a safe & comfortable space for everyone – we need everyones’ co-operation for this to happen.’
The page also has details of Accessibility for wheelchair users, as well as a few Do’s and Dont’s for the venues.

Directions, Transport & Parking – please see our Directions & Transport page for maps, info and useful links. We strongly recommend that wherever possible you come by bike, public transport, or walk!

Bookfair Finances – the Bookfair costs about £1900 to put on…venue & table hire, publicity, equipment, admin etc. We pay for much of this via stall fees, donations & cafe proceeds, BUT we also rely on DONATIONS on the door – if everyone coming can afford to give us £1 we’d be well sorted! Thanx.
Much respect to all our helpers on the day, and to the After-Party crew for puttin on a great night after a long hard day!
